Facilitated Book Clubs
Reading does not need to be a solo activity. Readers are more likely to get excited about books if they can involve their peer groups.
A facilitated book club involves an expert educator who guides discussions to encourage critical thinking. In addition to discussion blocks, sessions will include other engagement activities to broaden the discussion and encourage readers to think in other ways using creativity, imagination, and personal connections. Specific activities will vary depending on the ages and interests of readers involved but may include games, arts/crafts, and examination of related media.
Our facilitated book clubs are recommended for readers aged 8 and up. Basic reading skills required.
How to Start or Join a Book Club
The best way to get involved in a facilitated book club is to start one! Readers will feel more comfortable with familiar faces. What do you need to start a book club? It’s easy:
- 3-6 Readers is the ideal number — but if you don’t have that many, let us know and we can help advertise on our socials until we hit the minimum to move ahead.
- Choose a location — host the book club in your home, your building’s common room, or in select public spaces. All you really need is a (relatively) quiet space and seating sufficient for the number of participants. Contact us if you need help choosing your location.
- Contact us to schedule your book club — most clubs meet once per week for about 6 weeks, but this can vary depending on personal preferences and the length of the book.
Our facilitator will recommend one or more books based on what you tell us about your group of readers. A physical copy of the book is included for all participants.

Pricing
Pricing for a facilitated book club depends on the number of readers involved — more readers is more affordable for all. Below you’ll see a typical pricing structure based on an average book club of six meetings. Custom book clubs may be priced differently.

Price based on six sessions — number of sessions could vary based on age of readers and/or length of book chosen. Have fewer than 3 readers? Consider an Individual Novel Study. More than 6 readers? Contact us for options.
Book clubs are priced on a “per book” basis. If the club would like to continue meeting after one book, re-registration will be required.
