Individual Novel Study
A more private and curated option for readers who are looking for more one-on-one attention. Appropriate for solo readers, or with up to one additional reading buddy.
This option is a little bit less social, which means discussions feel more intimate. Goals for an individual novel study are usually a little more explicitly educational. In addition to facilitated conversations about the book, activities will include writing tasks, vocabulary building, and some creative output.
Our individual novel studies are recommended for readers aged 10 and up. Basic reading skills required. Maximum 2 readers per novel study.

Consider where you would like the program to take place. Novel studies can happen at your home or in select public spaces. Online options are possible as well (only recommended for older readers).

Pricing below is based on an average novel study which would be four sessions. However, this could vary based on the age of the readers and/or length of the novel. Contact us for a custom plan.

Note: Online readers will have to provide some basic supplies in-home (e.g. paper, pens, markers). Copy of the book is NOT included — will need to be acquired by family from bookstore or library.
Price based on four sessions — number of sessions could vary based on age of readers and/or length of book chosen. More than two readers? You should be looking at a Facilitated Book Club (feel free to contact us if you want your book club to have a more academic focus).
Novel studies are priced on a “per book” basis. If the readers would like to continue meeting after one book, re-registration will be required.
