Terms and Conditions: Enliven Lit Programs
1. Nature of Services
Enliven Lit provides facilitated book clubs and literacy engagement sessions. Please note that Enliven Lit is not a school or a remedial reading clinic. * We do not provide formal instruction on the mechanics of reading (phonics, decoding, etc.).
- Our programs are designed to foster a love of reading and critical thinking through group or individual discussion and activities.
2. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While our goal is to improve literacy engagement, Enliven Lit makes no guarantees or warranties regarding:
- Improvements in school grades or standardized test scores.
- Specific advancements in reading level or academic skills. Success in our programs is subjective and varies by reader.
3. Participant Responsibility (The “Reading Rule”)
The success of each session depends on the collective participation of the group.
- Participants are required to complete the assigned reading before each scheduled session.
- If a reader has not completed the reading, their ability to participate in and benefit from the session will be significantly diminished. No refunds will be provided for sessions where a reader is unable to participate due to lack of preparation.
4. Waiver of Liability and Release
By registering yourself or your child for Enliven Lit services, you agree to the following:

- Property Damage: Enliven Lit is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property brought to the sessions.
- Assumption of Risk: Parents/Guardians assume all risks associated with their child’s participation in the program.
5. Supervision (For In-Person Sessions)
Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children until the exact start time of the session and must be present for pick-up promptly at the end of the session.
6. Termination of Service
Enliven Lit reserves the right to terminate a child’s participation if their behavior is consistently disruptive to the group or if the participant repeatedly fails to complete assigned readings.
